Dashbhujanath Ganesh Panchamrut Abhishek
Dashbhujanath Ganesh Panchamrut Abhishek is a rare, highly rewarding, and scripturally ordained Vedic ritual. This ten-armed form of Lord Ganesha controls all obstacles and negative energies originating from the ten directions (East, West, North, South, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Northwest, Sky, and Underworld).
In this grand abhishekam, a continuous stream of milk, curd, desi ghee, pure honey, and sugar (Panchamrut) is offered onto the idol of Lord Ganesha amidst sacred Vedic chanting. In Vedic tradition:
-
Milk bestows peace of mind and excellent health,
-
Curd brings domestic happiness and sweetness in relationships,
-
Ghee (Ghrita) ensures lineage expansion and strength,
-
Honey (Madhu) increases sweetness in speech and powers of attraction,
-
Sugar (Sharkara) destroys all sorrows in life, infusing sweetness.
Along with the Panchamrut Abhishek, 108 sacred Durva grass, Sami leaves, and Modaks are offered to the Lord. It is believed that whoever performs this Panchamrut Abhishek for Dashbhujanath with a pure heart gets cleansed of past-life sins, bringing rapid progress to every stalled undertaking in life.
