Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Dhanvantari 1,25,000 Maha-Mool Mantra Jaap
The day of Trayodashi in the dark fortnight of the Kartik month (Dhanteras) is considered the most divine and fruitful muhurat of the year in Sanatan tradition to please Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of health, and Goddess Lakshmi, the reigning deity of wealth, grandeur, and opulence. According to mythological beliefs, Lord Dhanvantari appeared carrying a pot of nectar (Amrit Kalash) on this sacred date during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan), and the arrival of Goddess Lakshmi also took place during this same period.
In this special Dhanteras ritual, an uninterrupted chanting of 1,25,000 powerful Maha-Mool mantras of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Dhanvantari is performed according to classical scriptures by learned and Vedic priests. The puja begins with Ganapati worship, Kalash sthapana, Navagraha shanti, and Sankalp (resolution). Following this, a special grand Abhishek (bathing ritual) and divine ornamentation are performed using milk, honey, Ganges water, and Panchamrit. Upon completion of the chanting, a Havan is conducted using special herbs, lotus seeds (Kamalgatta), pure ghee, and medicinal substances. This ritual not only dispels the devotee's financial troubles but also eradicates negative energy, the fear of untimely death, and chronic illnesses from the home, infusing it with positive energy and prosperity.
