Sri Lakshmi Narayan Maha Pooja
The Sri Lakshmi-Narayan Puja is considered supremely auspicious and beneficial in the Sanatan tradition. Lord Vishnu is the preserver of the universe, and Goddess Lakshmi is the presiding deity of wealth, opulence, and fortune. When both are worshipped together, the devotee not only receives wealth but also the joy of utilizing it and the wisdom to walk the path of righteousness.
During this Maha Puja, expert priests chant Vedic mantras and perform special recitations of Sri Sukta, Purusha Sukta, and Vishnu Sahasranama. Lord Vishnu is offered basil leaves (Tulsi dal) and yellow garments, while Goddess Lakshmi is offered lotus flowers, kaudi (cowrie shells), kamalgatta (lotus seeds), and red garments. The concluding sacrificial ritual (Havan) purifies the atmosphere of the worship site and eliminates all financial and mental crises from the devotee's life.
