• During the construction of a new house or before moving into a previously owned property, mixed energies accumulate due to building materials, workers, and external factors. The chanting of mantras, along with the smoke generated from camphor, ghee, and sacred herbs (Havan Samagri) during the Griha Pravesh puja, purifies every corner of the house. This cleanses all stagnant and negative energies, replacing them with vibrant, positive vibrations.

3. Physical and Spiritual Purification (Shuddhi): Before the actual deity worship begins, the entire house must undergo purification. This is done by sprinkling holy water (Gangajal) across all rooms to cleanse the space of any residual physical or energetic impurities.

4. Restrictions Due to Impurity (Sootak & Ashauch): If there is a period of mourning (Sootak) due to a birth or death in the immediate family, or if the period of impurity applies, the Griha Pravesh must be postponed until the purification period concludes.

The first act in the kitchen must be lighting the stove for the first time to boil milk, symbolizing abundance, warmth, and lifelong prosperity for the household.
