Angarak Dosh Puja
According to Vedic astrology, when the fiery planet Mars (Mangal) forms a conjunction or aspect with shadow planets Rahu or Ketu in any house of a birth chart, the severe Angarak Dosh (Angarak Yoga) is formed. Mars represents energy, fire, courage, anger, and blood, while Rahu amplifies confusion, excitement, sudden crises, and extreme aggression. When both planets align, the fire element within the native becomes highly uncontrolled.
As a result, the individual makes hasty decisions, faces legal and property disputes, and strains relationships with loved ones. Angarak Dosh Puja is a specialized Vedic ritual in which ritualistic Panchamrit and herbal Abhishek of Lord Angareshwar Mahadev are performed, accompanied by the chanting of Mars mantras (Om Kraam Kreem Kroum Sah Bhaumaaya Namah) and Rahu mantras. This is followed by a special Havan (yajna) offering to pacify the Navgrahas, transforming the aggressive and negative planetary influences into auspicious rewards.
