If you are not there in person, many services also provide a video recording of the ritual and send blessed prasad directly to your home. It is a convenient and meaningful way to complete a personal prayer or remedy without having to gather all the materials yourself.

First of all, Ganesha-Gauri worship and Sankalpa (pledge/resolution) are performed, which removes all kinds of obstacles.

Lord Shiva is bathed with Gangajal, milk, curd, ghee, honey, and Panchamrit while melodiously reciting the mantras of the sacred Rudrashtadhyayi.

At the end of the puja, a Havan is performed with special oblations of the Mahamrityunjay mantra, which purifies the environment and destroys negative energy.

During this ritual, Lord Dhanvantari—the deity of health, along with Yamaraj and Mahamrityu—is also remembered, and prayers are offered for their blessings.
