Garbhadhana Sanskar is the first of the 16 sacraments (sanskars) in Hinduism. Best Time for Garbhadhana Sanskar:
According to scriptures, the best time for Garbhadhana is the "Ritukala" period, which lasts for 16 days after menstruation. During this period, intercourse should not take place on the first 4-5 days, and on the 11th and 13th day. The third part of the night is considered the most auspicious time for conception.Garbhadhana Sanskar should not be performed during impurity, menstruation, Brahma Muhurat (early morning), daytime, or dusk. It should also not be performed on full moon, new moon, Ashtami, or Chaturdashi. Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday are also not ideal days. Conception during Chaturthi, Navami, and Chaturdashi is also discouraged. The south direction is considered inauspicious for conception. The best nakshatras for Garbhadhana Sanskar are Mrigashira, Hasta, Anuradha, Rohini, Swati, Shravana, Dhanishta, and Shatabhisha.
