More About Jagannath Temple

King Indradyumna, a devoted worshiper of Lord Vishnu, was guided in a dream to build a temple in Puri. Lord Vishnu instructed him to house the idols of Jagannath (Vishnu), Balabhadra (Balarama), and Subhadra, crafted by the divine carpenter Vishwakarma.

Vishwakarma began carving under one condition: no one should disturb him. However, the king, impatient, broke the rule. This caused Vishwakarma to vanish, leaving the idols incomplet e.

Heartbroken, the king prayed, and Lord Vishnu assured him the idols were imbued with divine energy despite their unfinished appearance. Thus, the temple stands as a testament to faith and divine grace.
