Maa Phullara Shakti Peetha, also known as Attahas Shakti Peetha, holds immense significance in Hindu mythology as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. According to legend, it is the sacred site where the lower lip of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva carried her dismembered body across the universe, after she immolated herself in the Yagya fire. This temple is dedicated to Devi Phullara, the blooming form of Sati, and Lord Shiva is worshipped here as Vishwesh, the Lord of the Universe. The temple complex features a massive stone, symbolizing the goddess's lip, covered in vermilion. Additionally, the shrine of Bhairav, a manifestation of Lord Shiva, stands beside the temple of Maa Phullara, further enhancing the spiritual significance of the site. The location is peaceful, near a pond associated with Lord Hanuman's collection of 108 blue lotuses for a Durga worship in ancient times.
